Hummingbird

Hummingbird

Have you seen the latest collection by Valentino: such a beautiful array of bird prints and embroidery. An absolutely perfect choice for a spring time #rootd. One of my favourites is this Hummingbird print blouse, which goes great with a pair of olive green Calea grip breeches by Cavallo and an HV Polo denim blue vest.

Match the blue vest with a pair of Uvex sport style gloves, a pair of Linda Farrow aviators and a KEP Italia custom helmet. Then, ad the final touches to your look with lightly burnt orange customised boots by Kingsley, a matching vintage Chloé woven leather belt and the it-bag of the season: the Soleil mini bucket bag by 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Enjoy the spring time birds and have a stylish ride!

Candyfloss canter

If you’re anything like me, the you could probably use something to sweeten up your week half-way through. How about a candy floss colored #rootd with some edgy black and blue tones to canter away with in style?

I’m obsessed with this white Elie Saab bomber embellished with delicate candy floss pink and baby blue embroidered flowers. It works so incredibly well with this sugary sweet Thom Browne striped trim short sleeve sweater and a pair of baby blue Kingsland Kirstie breeches.

The black rider accessories give this look a little edge: the Cavallo Primus lace-up boots for example, or the H&M braided belt. How about this stunning KEP Italia Swarovski embellished helmet, or the Samshield V-skin gloves?

Add on a few more sugary sweet things to your candy floss look with a Altea Azur linen light blue scarf, a Coccinelle pink bucket bag and the best hat ever: “Bad Hair Day

4 seasons in 1 day

4 seasons in one day

4 seasons in 1 day, that’s exactly the weather we had over here over the past couple of days. Bright blue spring skies with a gentle warm sun followed by gusts of wind, rain and even snow. Best be prepared for everything with this super versatile street to stable all season look.

This outfit not only incorporates some of my personal favourites, but also shows off my absolute all season favourite color combinations.

Let’s starts with he star of the show: the Asmar Equestrian ‘all weather rider’ in navy blue. You might have seen it pass by in a few of my posts or have read the product review (if not, do so HERE). This jacket really is your 4 seasons in 1 day best friend: lightweight enough to layer, warm enough to ride through cold gusts of wind and it will keep you dry when caught in an unexpected spring shower.

You’ve probably also seen me wearing my favourite brown vest over a mustard colored top quite a few times, here are some options for you to wear the same kind of look: The Horze Lara vest is a beautiful shade of brown and goes great with the Park Cross shirt. Wear it all with a pair of Asmar Equestrian super chic denim breeches and with a pair of my favorite Roeckl equestrian grip gloves.

Complete the look with some stylish dark brown ride accessories like the Tucci Harley field boots, a Frame Denim belt and Samshield shadow mat helmet (I have it in blue and LOVE it!)

Just a few more accessories to make this look extra versatile and stylish: a super cute ‘evil eye’ scarf by Slater Zorn for warmth and style and a pair of Rönner design customisable monogram slipper for the ultimate street to stable look.

Have a stylish ride!

Delicate spring flower

Delicate petal

Spring is all about those delicate little first flowers popping their heads out of the ground after a long winter sleep. These lovely little flowers often come in wonderful soft shades of green, pink and white and make for great inspiration for a spring time #rootd.

Let’s start with the delicate bush pink cardigan by Marni over a crisp white Carrie show shirt by Miasuki and all of this paired with the beautiful Cavallo Caleo grip breeches in moss green. Caramel colored rider accessories accentuate this delicate look: how about the Cavallo Polo Novellus boots, a pair of Roeckl grip gloves, the unmistakable KEP Italia helmet and Vestrum Buenos Aires belt.

Finish of your look with some hints of moss green with a Collection 18 satin baseball cap, a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and a bohemian embroidered scarf.

Keep all of your essentials for the day with you in the stunning Vestrum Vienna bag.

Flamingo

Flamingo

Definitely the hottest color for spring / summer this year… Not sure what to call it though, it’s something between salmon, orange, pink and coral…. Flamingo it is!

I love the preppy sleeveless polo shirt called Hilly by La Valencio and it matches perfectly with the sporty, functional and fabulous Fira Collection Belina vest. Wear your flamingo fabulousness with a pair of classy BR Equestrian Sequoia breeches and Tucci Harley field boots.

Accessorise your flamingo look with a pair of BR Equestrian black gloves, Ray-Ban black and pink shades, the beautiful velvet KEP Italia black helmet and an Adidas x Stella McCartney baseball cap for after your ride (helmet hair!!).

Bring all your essentials for the day in you Michael Kors Mae large reversible tote bag and keep your barn key safe with a flamingo colored Bottega Veneta key ring.

Have a stylish ride!

Flower bomb

Flower bomb

OK, I confess, I am officially obsessed with this season’s hottest trends in both streetwear and equestrian fashion: the floral embroidered bomber jacket. How about this super cute one from Miss Selfridge? Wear it with a sophisticated brown t shirt from Stefanel and a pair of beige Pikeur Lamara grip breeches.

Because I think this look is too cute, why to wear it to town with a pair of FENTY by Rihanna satin sneakers and change into a pair of Tucci Harley boots at the barn.

Accessorise your look with a funky white and python KEP Italia helmet, a green Brooks Brothers skinny belt, a pair of Betsey Johnson aviators, Roeckl grip gloves and a beautiful polo mallet brass bracelet by Stick & Ball Co.

1966

1966

Spring time always makes me want to wear something floral. What better than this Gucci Flora scarf inspired look. The story behind the number 1966? This was the year that Guccio Gucci designed the Iconic Flora scarf especially for Grace Kelly. It’s such a timeless design that the beautiful blouse with the same print can be worn at any time: casual in a #rootd or for dinner out with a pair of sleek black trousers and a pair of pumps.

The Gucci bucket bag, double G logo belt and sunglasses enhance the ladylike essence of the floral design and the unmistakable iconic Flora 1966 fragrance is the perfect companion for the look (my personal favourite).

Wear this iconic floral look with a pair of classic black Pikeur Lucinda full grip breeches,  the sophisticated Alberto Fasciani dressage boots, a pair of Hauke Schmidt Touch of Class gloves and a Samshield shadow mat helmet. Add on a little more color with a bright green Moncler Liane vest and you’re ready for your springtime ride.

Enjoy your floral look and have stylish ride!

Spring fling

spring-fling

Yes! it’s March! Time to start thinking about spring colors, longer days, glorious sunshine and flowers in bloom. Get into that spring time mood with this spring inspired #rootd.

It’s the season for bright colors again, and there is no better than this Ralph Lauren Polo cashmere cable knit pull-over in the brightest of greens. Wear it with a preppie HV Polo shit underneath and layer on a casual Rag & Bone Women’s Avenida Studded Denim Jacket for the early morning spring chill.

Best to wear a bright color palette with a pair of classic navy blue breeches. The Clarissa grip pair by Pikeur are great for this look thanks to their extra pocket detailing and immaculate finish.

Accessories the look with a hint of bright green in the Ray-Ban sunglasses and the Gucci Garden scarf and continue the classic navy theme with your Roeckl grip gloves, a Shop Hunt Club Derby belt and a KEP Italia custom helmet.

Finish off the look with a pair of navy blue customised Roma zip Parlanti boots.

Have a stylish spring ride!

Spring 2017 SPOGA favorites

spring-2017-spoga-favorites

A small selection of my favorite brands from SPOGA Feb 2017. It was the most wonderfully exciting weekend meeting amazing people, discover new brands and products and getting inspired for a whole new season of everything horse and fashion. The look today is compiled of my favorites shades of beige, black and brown: always classy and good for every season.

One of the great discoveries for me was the brand Uhip international. I’ve featured their items a few times already and have heard of the excellence of the products through friends, but now I got to get to know the brand, the people behind the brand and see the exquisite range live, and I must say I’m in LOVE! Wether you prefer a short, a medium or a long jacket: Uhip international has one for you to keep you looking stylish even in the harshest of winter weathers. Featured here is the Alaska jacket in chocolate brown.

I combined the jacket with another one of my pleasant discoveries: Vestrum. The brand has been around for a while, but has only recently come onto my radar, and I’m very happy it did! Class with a capital C – the ultimate equestrian luxury brand! I’ve added both the Oslo turtleneck cable knit sweater and the foulard Shanghai… it was hard to pick only two items, I really do like them all!

Euro-star has been around for quite some time, but manages to surprise me again and again with their innovative quality and excellent design in technical breeches. I have added the Miley Powergrip in Ebony to this look because I love the cut,  the full seat technical grip and the warm color.

KASK is really pushing the boat out this year with their fully customisable helmets: you can add just as much bling and detail as you wish to suite your style and there is always a helmet for every discipline. They have developed a technical grip inlay, that plays into the need to be able to wear your hair in a pony tail under your helmet without it sliding forward: a must try for both dressage riders and show jumpers! For this look I chose the Dogma model with Swarovski carpet and leather details in brown.

Alberto Fasciani has been one of my longtime favorites and I had the chance to discover a fee more of their fully personalised range at the SPOGA trade fair. I can’t wait for my new pair to arrive!! For now, I have added a boot from their standard collection (just as beautiful).

What’s a good look without some signature accessories, like the bit belt from HKM sports equipment, or the Arabella gloves from Hauke Schmidt. And of course, you’ll want to change your boots for a pair of cute city shoes when leaving the barn… I absolutely adore these Espoir points Derby shoes and I do believe they are the perfect spring equestrian companion.

Last but not least, a brand that always delivers the best styles for your horse and around the stable: PS of Sweden. The premium brown grooming bag is the perfect finishing touch for this SPOGA inspired look.

Is it spring yet?

is-it-spring-yet

When browsing for inspiration for looks, I came across this gorgeous Stella McCartney Jay Landscape jacket and it reminded me of Spring. It’s almost spring, right? Well no, there are still quite a few more frosty weeks ahead, but in the meantime, we can bring that spring time feeling to life in this spring landscape inspired #rootd.

Because it’s still quite chilly out, I added on a the brown Vava vest from Prana to layer over a soft green Balmain wool turtleneck sweater. Tie the look together with a pair of ROMFH Sarafina full seat breeches and an Ideana woven horse stirrup detail belt.

The KASK Star lady helmet fits perfectly thanks to its beautiful shades of brown and bronze. Both the SSG Gloves and the Celeris Bia lace up boots are a great addition to the look in these beautiful shades of Cognac.

Top off the look with a matching FC Vegan Bags Vegan Clean Simple Tote Bag.

Keep dreaming of spring and have a stylish ride!
