Trick or treat?

Trick or treat

Happy Halloween!! That strange time of year somewhere between Autumn and winter, when you have absolutely no idea what to wear. Today I decided to provide you with a sophisticated take on a Halloween inspired #rootd with a little pumpkin, chocolate and ghoulishly beautiful beigy grey that will work for both Autumn and Winter weather.

My friend Tanja, who runs the very successful personalized dog, horse, and human accessories company Tau Stil sent me a picture of one of her newest bags, and I, of course, fell in love with it immediately and just had to include it into this ‘Trick or treat’ outfit. A gorgeous canvas pumpkin beige cross body bag with chocolate strap and gold trim: perfect for your keys, phone and anything that you’ll need to walk your dog or head to the barn (did I mention you can get the whole partner look with halters and dog leashes too? Check it all out here).

Wear your beauty of a bag with a pair of chocolate brown BR Equestrian Macy knee grip breeches, a Dubarry Chamomille country shirt and a Kookai pumpkin colored lightweight V neck sweater on top. Layer on this warm and wonderful Harcour Deneuve parka in this magical shade of beigy grey for warmth and style.

There is such a wide choice of personalized boots out there now, and for this look, I decided to go with this pair by Stivaleria Secchiari because of the perfect color match to the look and combined it with a KEP Italia helmet.

Finish off the look with a little bit more gold trim with a pair of chocolate colored Roeckl Julia gloves (with a little gold trim), a Midnight Pumpkin ManeJane belt with gold buckle, a pair of U Black Rider 14k Gold plated stainless steel spurs and a vintage Louis Vuitton leopard and monogram scarf.

Happy Halloween and have a stylish ride!

Spooktacular special edition: The stylish equestrian for Phyllis Stein

ps
ps-1Meet Phyllis Stein: lover of a feisty horse, a good shirt and all things spooktacular: the perfect stylish equestrian for this Halloween weekend.
Phyllis is not the typical horse girl: she likes to get dirty, kick up some dust against the conventional prep and loves a good ride in the country side.
ps-3Phyllis spends her free time with her trusty steed, Gertrude, and loves to hang out with her friends and support their equestrian efforts in any way possible. Especially if it means she can dress them in her amazing shirts and accessories.
Phyllis Stein ‘the brand’ was born from her frequent use of the term “there should be a t shirt for that” coupled with a life long passion for horses, humour and more than a little rock and roll. She strives to make classic, quality products for the discerning equestrienne.
ps-2Each shirt is hand crafted with love and (and sometimes a little white wine) using the finest quality fabrics and embellishments to ensure every piece makes you feel as special as you are, each and every time you wear it!

We’ve put together the ultimate halloween themed, yet every day wearable look for Phyllis, which of course incoporates one of her statement T’s: Metre Sixty. We combined it with a pair of red Mountain Horse Lauren breeches and Phyllis’ signature leather moto jacket by BLK DNM. In keeping with a bit of spook for the Halloween weekend, we’ve added the classiest halloween themed items we could find like the Alexander McQueen skull scarf, the Phyllis F%#*ing Stein wrist cuff and hints of purple with a Rebecca Ray bridle stitch belt and a Black Knight Accessories rider wristlet.
No outfit would be complete for Phyllis without her signature red Lancome Rouge in Love st Honore lipstick, a spray of her signature sent Voodoo Love by Bourbon French perfume and a pair of Prada metal cat eye sunglasses.
To complete the look, we hid a pair of limited edition Phyllis Stein halloween socks by Dreamers ‘n Schemers in a pair of Tucci Harley field boots.

Have a spooktacular ride!
