Who doesn’t love a good flannel boyfriend shirt from time to time? It’s the perfect partner to layer into a winter riding outfit, especially if it combines some of this seasons hottest colors in an unusual yet stunning way.

I came accross this marroon and orange Campus Emporium flanel plaid boyfirend shirt and it immediately inspired me to do this casual street to stable outdoorsy #rootd. Especially because it goes so well when worn with a cheecky rolled up sleeve over the BR Equestrian equipment burnt orange Titiana roll neck base layer and it also works amazingly well with a pair of maroon Cavallo Cera grip breeches.

The grey full seat detail in the breeches provides the perefct theme fro the rest of the look with an ANKY Technical Casuals lightweight silver grey down jacket, a pair of Uvex Sport style glamour gloves, a One K Defender grey helmet and a matching Shop Hunt Club ‘Flying Cange’ derby belt.

Finish off the look with a maroon knitted scarf by Pieces and a pair of grey multipurpose snuggly warm boots: the Coniston H2O waterproof and insulated outdoor boots by Ariat. Your best partner for winter walks, muddy paddocks and hacks in the countryside.

Walking your dog in the woods, watching your friends compete or just feel like playing with your horse in stead of riding? This country casual look is perfect for you!

A few classic countryside staples and some strong colourful fashion elements all come together in this contemporary country #rootd.

A few country classics are the Walker and Hawkes derby country tweed ladies shooting vest with purple accents, a Rhythm Suffolk hat and a pair of waterproof Ariat Ambleside H2O country boots.

Spice it up with a high fashion Nina Ricci wool V neck sweater worn over a lightblue Dubarry of Ireland Carnation blouse. Wear it with all with a pair of Horze Leah luxury riding tights, a matching One K Defender helmet and a pair of Roeckl Chester gloves (just in case you do decide to hop on a horse … )

Bring all your essentials in the stunning Stella McCartney Falabella bag and don’t forget a pair of Oliver Peoples shades.

Have a stylish walk / ride!

Country classics

A little selection of countryside classics; enjoy the heritage English countryside style with a modern twist.

Barbour – founded in 1894 in England. Barbour is the staple of English country side fashion and offers some great items to suit this countryside inspired riding ensemble. Check out the Kailzie quilted jacket, and a favorite of mine: the Holsteiner horse print shirt which adds a bit off class as well as fun.

Charles Owen, another English heritage brand established in 1911, does great retro yet super stylish and safe helmets.

A Uniqlo vest provides the necessary warmth in the English blustery countryside.

Add on Cavallo Milano boots and Cavallo breeches and finish off the outfit with the perfect countryside accessories: The Horse watch, SSG Lycrochet gloves and the ever so cute MCM Horse charm key holder.

Enjoy your classics country side look!
