Roeckl Wago gloves

I’m a big fan of Roeckl gloves: stylish and sturdy, yet still flexible… everything a good riding glove needs to be.

roeckl-wago-1When I got the chance to test ride these Wago winter gloves, I was over the moon, not only because I absolutely love everything Roeckl makes, but also because it has been exceptionally cold over here and a good winter pair was just what I needed.

So what makes these gloves so special?  Well, In addition to its classic design featuring three seams on the backhand and a discreet backhand fastener with the characteristic metal ROECKL hand logo, the gloves are fitted with a soft, warm fleece lining.

The material used is one of the key factors that make the Wago such a great glove.

roeckl-wago-3The material is called SUPREMA. It’s a textile leather that can hardly be distinguished from high-quality synthetic leather. The fact that it is both highly elastic and breathable makes the material’s features so great. Furthermore, an issue I’ve had with other winter riding gloves, is the feeling that I’m no longer actually in touch with the reigns and therefore also the bit. These gloves however are warm enough to keep me going in winter, yet still ensure a perfect hold on the reins and subtle connection to the mouth of the horse.
