Snowflake

Snnowflake

First real lasting snow is predicted for this week, and I thought I’d get ready for that snowflake feeling with a wintery street to stable outfit.

I love looking at technical outdoor sports brands other than the equestrian ones for inspiration, as those brands usually work just as well for riding. Especially ski-wear is  well suited as it’s designed for outdoor activity, flexibility and style.

A brand that I’ve liked for a very long time thanks to it’s innovative retro Swiss style and quality technical items is Alprausch. Today I’ve chosen to add the Alprausch Helga down jacket into the mix thanks to it’s super cute retro snowflake print.

Wear it with a Miasuki Cashmere silk blend crisp white turtleneck sweater, a pair of perfect street to stable Imperial Riding full seat denim breeches and a Kudamono vintage leather belt.

For you ride, match your Hauke Schmidt Arabella gloves to your Königs Melbourne boots and ride in style with the Back on Track EQ3 blue helmet (read a review on this great helmet here).

When heading out to meet friends for a coffee afterwards, change your boot for a pair of Ariat Wexdord H2O short boots and your helmet for a J Crew pom pom beanie.

Enjoy the snow and have a stylish ride!

Terra Nova

Terra nova

A new take on that beautiful earthy color Terra has recently caught my eye. This time in the form of the stunning ‘Terra’ full seat breeches by BR Equestrian.

Perfect for this autumn season when worn with a Uniqlo fine merino wool turtleneck sweater in brown and a navy blue H&M Padded vest.

Highlight the lovely Terra color by adding a highstreet Aztec scarf with matching Terra accents, and continue the navy blue with a beautiful Antarès Sellier Suede Hunter helmet, a pair of Roeckl Lisboa gloves, Euro Star navy blue woven belt and a mathcing PS of Sweden Premium grooming bag.

Wear this look for a walk in the woods or a nice autumn hack with your horse with the Ariat Colliston H2O outdoor boots.

In October we wear pink 2017 edition

In October we wear pink 2017 edition

October is not only the month of Pumpkin Spice lattes, falling leaves, gorgeous shades of auburn, burnt orange and moss green, but also the month to think pink.

The stylish equestrian goes pink for Breast Cancer awareness month and provides you with some outfit inspo and ways to support the cause this year.

The Horse Pilot X Balance breeches are providing the perfect pop of pink for this #rootd, accentuate the grey details with a few carefully curated layers. Start with a Mango technical running shirt base layer, add a Pikeur silver white vest as mid layer and wear an ANKY technical casuals lightweight down jacket on top.

Accessorize your pink look with an Alexander McQueen Scarf, a breast cancer awareness phonecase and matching pin.

Black rider accessories are always a good choice, especially if you go for the KEP Italia Cromo textile helmet, Alberto Fasciani jumping boots and a pair of Hirzl Grippp Elite gloves. Swap your boots after your ride for a pair of Nike Tanjun running shoes.

One of the ways you can support breast cancer awareness month in style is by buying and wearing a C4 belt supporting the Susan G Komen foundation by donation 15$ of every purchase towards the cause.

Training in teal

Training in teal

Who can resist a great weekend training in this teal and grey #rootd? It might not be the most summery look, but we’ve had a really cool day here today and this one would have been absolutely perfect!

Adidas and Stella McCartney really are the masters of elegant and stylish active wear and i absolutely love this floral print long sleeve lightweight shirt. Wear it with a pair of contemporary cool grey denim Pikeur Drajeen breeches and add a teal layer with a Marmot Jena lightweight down vest.

Accessorise your look with a few more touches of teal: how about this vintage Hermès belt which fits perfectly with a pair of custom Kempkens boots and a pair of teal Nike Tanjun sneakers to change into after your ride.

A pair of grey Roeckl gloves, a black KEP Italia helmet and a Kenzo tiger phone provide the final touches to this training in teal look for today.

Equestrian off-duty

Equestrian off duty

Hanging out at the barn, watching you friends ride, shopping for tack, or sipping a coffee in town, this equestrian off-duty style works for any situation, even when do decide to hop on for a bit, it’ll work for you too!

The key to the multifunctional equestrian off-duty look is first of all the elegant and versatile Kaitlyn riding legging by Kingsland. Second, work with stylish layers like the Claude Montana vintage ribbed tank top under a crisp white Lacoste cotton shirt worn open and flowing, tucked and buttoned or knotted for a casual effect.

You never know if you might want to hop on your horse for a little while, so make sure you have your Cavallo Primus lace-up boots at hand to change into from your Timberland Lakeville boat shoes. And of course swap your Brixton Wesley fedora for the sophisticated blue and brown Antarès Galaxy helmet.

Bring all your small every day equestrian accessories, like the Roeckl gloves and Stella McCartney sunglasses, with you in your Fairfax & Favor Cadogan Travel bag.

Tall Vanilla Latte

Tall vanilla latte

The very best way for me to start the day is with a tall vanilla latte, preferably with an extra shot of espresso. Savouring my favourite morning pick-me up, I thought of a #rootd with the same subtle sweetness combined with a caffeine inspired punch.

A big fan of the Fior de Liso shirts myself, I thought this Cecille shirt was a great place to start for this tall vanilla latte look. Wear it with a pair of creamy vanilla beige HV Polo full seat breeches and add a coffee colored Horze Lara vest to complete the look.

A few more shots of espresso are added to the mix with a stunning KASK Dogma helmet, a vintage Hermès belt, Roeckl Madrid summer gloves and a pair of Königs classic Grandchester dressage boots.

Add two lumps of unrefined organic sugar with a soft grey Mango scarf and the stunning Cavalleria Toscana woven leather tote bag, and your tall vanilla latte look is complete.

Vintage Rose

Vintage Rose

I love a good rose print, especially if it’s the vintage style rose like the one featured on the Kate Spade phone case and purse. I was even happier when I found the lightweight, comfortable and super stylish Dolce & Gabbana rose embroidered sweater to match.

Wear your vintage rose items with a pair of dark green Fix Design cotton breeches and a hot pink Mountain Khaki’s Shout down vest.

Finish of the vintage rose look with some black rider essentials like the Mulberry belt, a pair of Samshield V skin gloves, a velvet Cromo KEP Italia helmet and a pair of technical black Cavallo Carbon boots.

Carousel

Caroussel

Nothing like fresh new prints and beautiful new collections to put you in a good mood.

One of my favourite equestrian lifestyle brands, Rönner Design has just released their newest Carousel collection which includes this stunning Elena Carousel blouse with a beautiful fresh and sophisticated equestrian print. I liked it so much that I just had to create a spring time #rootd around it.

Wear this beauty with a pair of PK International Renovo breeches and a Ralph Lauren gold down vest. When wearing your Petrie croco custom boots, you could easily see yourself going for a coffee with friends as well as riding your favourite horse. Combine your boots with a Michael Kors belt, a pair of Roeckl grip gloves, the KASK Dogma helmet with gold details and a pair of Burberry sunglasses.

Finish off the look with a versatile business to barn tote bag by Vanessa Bruno.

Champagne made me do it…

Champagne

All I can think of this season is champagne colored equestrian fashion – I’m seeing it everywhere, and I love it!!

How about this champagne colored Euro-Star Yasmine spring lightweight jacket. And … even better, this shirt by Wildfox really does say it all: I didn’t text you last night, champagne did 😀

The best breeches for the champagne look are this denim pair from Asmar Equestrian and of course this book needs a champagne colored belt from ManeJane and a pair of Ostrich leather custom Königs boots.

Accessorise your look with a bit more denim and champagne. The custom blue KEP Italia helmet and the Roeckl Madrid gloves are the best companions for this look. Add on a pair of Gucci aviator sunglasses, a Sylvia Alexander plaid scarf and the stunning Balenciaga classic metallic edge city bag.

Enjoy your champagne and have a stylish ride!
