Meet Shayne Dante: Grand Prix dressage rider, powerful positive person and sporty fashionista
Shayne Dante was born on March 15, 1991 in San Francisco, CA and began competing ponies by the tender age of four. From the beginning, she knew horses were a passion she wanted to pursue as a career. Coming from a non-horsey family, Shayne spent her early days working around various farms in exchange for lessons. Luckily, at a young age, she came across two mentors: MaryAnne Adams, a talented eventer from Maryland, and Brent Graef, a horseman from Texas. Both mentors, with completely different backgrounds, devoted their time, energy, and knowledge into creating a young professional with one common goal: the love of the horse. With ceaseless drive, determination, and discipline, Shayne took her eclectic background across the country in pursuit of her high performance goals. Without a horse, car, or money to her name, Shayne followed a dream; she surrounded herself with the best in the sport and was competing in the FEI ring within one season.
Brian Holloway has been a key pillar in Shayne’s life for over 20 years. As a professional athlete, father, and mentor, Brian inspires those around him to follow their creative success and live life to the fullest. The Holloway family lost their beloved son, brother, cousin, teammate, and friend, Max Holloway #56 Boston College. In honor of the Holloways, we #LiveLifeToTheMax and we #RideToTheMax.
Outside of striving to be an exceptional international competitor, Shayne endeavors to inspire those around her, specifically young women, to take the reins, push their limits, and ignite their inner strength. Power shines through one’s soul into their horse.
