Meet Lyndal Oatley: Olympian and first class fashionista.
Lyndal grew up in the heart of Australian wine country in the upper Hunter Valley. She loved horses and riding from as early as she can remember and would dress up her mums foals in her dressing gowns and gallop her ponies through the vineyards. It was an amazing way to grow up!
She originally competed in show horses, winning the grand national Australian title two years in a row. It was by showing horses that Lyndal developed her love of equestrian fashion and style.
In 2000 Lyndal was sitting in the stands at the Sydney olympics and finally worked up the courage to chase her own dreams and work towards the goal of competing in the olympics and pursue a career in dressage.
She met Patrik (Kittel – Swedish Olympic dressage rider) in 2007 while dressage horse shopping, she bought the horse, started training with Patrick and the rest is history …(Lyndal and Patrick have been married since 2008)
Lyndal is a most amazingly accomplished rider: she is the current Australian record holder in Grand Prix, has competed in 2 Olympics, 2 world cup qualifiers, 2 world equestrian games and 1 wold cup final.
2016 has been huge for Lyndal: making it to the world cup (Aachen) final and competing at the Olympics with her horse Sandro Boy. She’s incredibly proud of the journey they have traveled together so far and is greatly looking forward to what other amazing achievements they can add to their list in the next few years.
