Special edition: The stylish equestrian for Sarah Lockman

SLD FINAL

SLD 2Meet stylish equestrian Sarah Lockman. Riding has been a part of Sarah‘s life since before she could walk. She is a graduate B Pony Clubber and competed through the Intermediate level in eventing, finishing third at her first CCI** at just 15 years of age.
In 2004, Sarah shifted her focus to training and competing dressage horses. She participates regularly in various clinics with top riders and trainers like Guenter Sidel, Scott Hassler, Debbie McDonald, Christine Traurig, Robert Dover, Bert Rutten, Judy Harvey, Kathy Pavlich, and Linda Zang.

SLD 3Sarah holds USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medals as well as multiple championships on different mounts at various levels. She currently trains out of Orange County, California where she has built a reputation for preparing young horses for exciting FEI futures. Many of her horses are successful in the FEI 4,5 and 6 year old young horse classes.

Sarah has coached many successful amateur and Junior clients to top awards in dressage from Training level through Grand Prix. She enjoys training and coaching horses from all backgrounds and levels, and currently has 15 horse and rider combinations qualified for the 2016 CDS/USDF Championships.
Sarah aspires to represent the United States in International competition in the future, working closely with coach Guenter Sidel.

SLD 1Not only is Sarah an extremely accomplished equestrian, she also has an impeccable sense of style. Sarah loves a pop of bright or bling when showing her horses, but likes to keep it classy with a high collar or a sophisticated cut. In her day to day, she is a fan of the European brands for their sleek style and functionality.

Like her style? Here is all the info you’ll need to get Sarah’s look:

Sarah loves her Equiline breeches and we’ve included a metal blue Frederica pair in this look. We made sure to pay tribute to the SL Dressage barn colors in Sarah’s look with the gorgeous Asmar Equestrian Rider’s vest in purple, a matching pair of Alexander McQueen sunglasses and a Marc Jacobs laptop case to facilitate Sarah’s busy riding and barn management lifestyle.

Sarah like training in the Asmar Equestrian Short sleeve sun shirts: “they are perfect for the California weather”. Sarah’s rider accessories are sleek and functional: a One K Defender black helmet, a pair of Samshield hunter riding gloves and a pair of exquisite Alberto Fasciani classic dressage boots.

Finally, a touch of equestrian class with an Ariat English black and silver buckle spur belt, a Rönner Design poncho for chilly California evenings and a Lack of Color fedora, to protect her from the sun, but also to hide the fabulous helmet hair after having ridden multiple horses.

Have a stylish ride!
